Questions about Rifles

  • FX rifles are available in several popular calibers, typically including .177, .22, .25, .30 and larger for selected models. Availability varies by model and market.

  • Pellets (diabolo-style) are designed for accuracy at typical airgun ranges and are easy to tune. Slugs are heavier, have higher ballistic coefficients, and perform better at longer ranges and for hunting heavier game. Choose pellets for precision target work and slugs for long-range or hunting applications.

  • The FX HALO is a new projectile concept from FX designed and made in house in Sweden. The FX Halo is a slug-style projectile engineered to weigh the same as a traditional diabolo pellet but with a higher ballistic coefficient. It aims to combine the tuning ease of pellets with the long-range performance and terminal effect of slugs.

  • Many FX rifles include adjustable regulators or external regulators (AMP MKII on certain models) which allow fine control of output and consistency shot-to-shot. Some models offer quick-tune systems to optimize performance for pellet or slug use.

  • Some FX models support caliber conversion via swap barrels, bolts, or conversion kits. Check your rifle’s product page and speak to an authorized dealer for compatibility and installation options.

  • Use high-quality pellets matched to your rifle’s caliber and intended use. For best accuracy, test a few premium pellet brands and weights to find what shoots best through your specific barrel.

  • The best way to store you FXairguns is in a dry and safe place with pressure at regulator pressure or higher. This keeps the seals in place and prevents leaks.

  • All rifles that use a carbon fiber bottle have a max fill pressure of 250bar
All rifles using a aluminium tube or bottle have a max fill pressure of 230bar
NOTE: Rifle configurations that combine both aluminium tubes with carbon fiber bottles have a max fill pressure of 230bar.

Questions about Tuning & Accessories

  • FX rifles come with integrated scope rails (Picatinny/20 MOA incline on some models). Use a quality mount rated for your rifle’s recoil (airguns have different recoil characteristics than powder firearms). Ensure correct eye relief and torque mounts per your scope/mount manufacturer.

  • The AMP regulator stabilizes the rifle’s shot-to-shot air pressure delivered to the barrel, improving consistency and accuracy. Some AMP versions are externally adjustable, allowing field tuning for different pellets or power levels.

  • Service intervals depend on use, power levels, and environmental factors. Regular inspection and preventive maintenance are recommended. For full service or complex work consult an authorized FX service center.

  • FX offers multiple magazine types depending on model and caliber — rotary magazines, single-shot trays, and high-capacity options. Use the magazine specified for your rifle and caliber.

  • Torque specs can be specific to chassis types and screw sizes (for example, MDT Pro Elite hardware). Always follow the torque values listed in the owner’s manual or the component manufacturer’s documentation. If no spec is listed, use conservative torque and check fitment regularly.

  • Many FX rifles use modular chassis systems that support aftermarket stocks and accessories (Arca rails, M-LOK slots, etc.). Ensure any replacement stock is compatible with your rifle’s action and bedding requirements.

Questions about Safety and Legality

  • FX rifles include mechanical safeties and precision triggers, but they are not a substitute for safe firearm handling. Always treat an airgun as if it can discharge: keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction, finger off the trigger until ready to shoot, and use eye and ear protection as appropriate.

  • Laws vary widely. In some countries/regions, PCP air rifles require registration or a firearms license; in others they are unregulated. Check local laws before purchasing.

  • Many FX models are purpose-built for hunting (especially when used with slugs and higher power settings). Always follow local hunting regulations, know minimum legal energy limits, and practice safe, ethical shot placement.

Technical support

  • Regular maintenance includes cleaning the barrel per manual guidance, keeping the action free of debris, checking seals, and following regulator service recommendations. Use only recommended lubricants.

  • Common causes include incorrect pellet choice, inconsistent fill pressure, dirty barrel, loose scope mounts, loose action screws, or worn seals. Start by confirming consistent fill pressure, verifying pellet choice, and ensuring mounts and screws are properly torqued.
